3rd Time's a Charm!

This November we were so very lucky to have Julie visit for a week, it was her 3rd time to visit us Germany!  Can't tell you how great it was to see her face!!   She's pretty much an expert now on Bad Soden and our neighboring towns which is cool because we were able to do some different things this time around than what we've done in the past.

We spent many a day chatting through our mornings while sipping on coffee, we watched a movie or two during Stew's naptime, enjoyed some dinners at home as well as some at tasty restaurants, had a girls afternoon of shopping while Todd took time off work to stay home with Stew (so awesome of him!).

We did a day trip to the Beautiful town of Wurzberg and checked out it's castles and cobble stone streets which was really nice.  We had lunch at the 300 year old restaurant on the bridge and managed to do some damage at the shops along the way.  A hike up to the castle proved unsuccessful when we realized about 150 stairs would need to be climbed, so be blamed it on the stroller.

She also joined us in the annual Feast Of St. Martin Parade where the kids from the town take their hand made lanterns from the town square up to the castle ruins of Koenigstein where a giant bonfire is lit and the legend of St. Martin is read aloud.

One day we even went to a Bavarian Fruhshoppin (Bayrish Breakfast) and enjoyed some traditional food and drink while wearing the traditional Bavarian Garb.  Julie was quite the sport that day : )

I'm sure I'm forgetting some other things we did but you get the gist!  Really, it was a solid week of good sister time together...but it definitely wasn't the same without our other sister Amy who we missed terribly!

A HUGE thank you to Julie for everything she did to be here with us, missing you a ton....as ususal!
