When there are 15th century castle ruins 15 minutes from your front door and knights, kings, wenches and maidens are roaming about you can't just sit at home.
This could only be the annual Koenigstein Medieval Festival when the clock turns back to a time of feast and sport the likes of which you will never forget. "Dos thus have thou a mug of ale for me and me mate??? For he hath been pitched in battle for a fornight and has the King's thirst for the frosty brew dos thou might have for thus!" - Chip Douglas, Cable Guy
It was as authentic as you could get with jousting, battle, fare and ale from times past. Everyone and their brother was dressed in Medieval garb and some even smelled like they hadn't bathed since 1542.
It was pretty magical to think we were standing in the same place where this could have happened 600 years ago. Plus, Stew loved the horses.
"For God, AND KING RICHARD!!!!" - Todd Hertzler, yelling at the knights during their performance.
