Although there were flyers posted on every storefront window for a month (in German!) it wasn't until the day of that we realized there was a festival in our town that takes place only 2 times a year. The streets were blocked off and filled with brat stands, live bands, sidewalk sales, small carnival rides for the kids, and tons of families just hanging out. We spent the afternoon soaking it all in.
